Dr Louise Newson had already established herself as the UK’s leading voice on menopause and hormone health. In 2026, that platform was extended into a new nationwide theatre tour, ‘Breaking the Cycle: The Power of Hormones’, bringing her evidence-based approach directly to audiences across the country. Alongside this tour was a desire to reach a younger audience and spread awareness of hormone health to all women, not exclusively for women who are at the age of perimenopause and menopause.
At Jenna Farmer PR, we built a proactive regional and national press strategy around the 38-date tour, treating each stop as its own local news moment — pairing local announcement pieces, listings, radio interviews and reader competitions with nationally placed features — while sustaining national coverage of Louise’s wider expertise throughout the run. There was a total of 88 published items of local coverage leading to a momentum of ticket sales.
National coverage of the tour still remained a focus, however, with coverage for the tour spanning major mastheads including The Times and the Financial Times, alongside lifestyle and wellness titles such as Hello Magazine, Stylist, Get The Gloss, and the Daily Mail. Yahoo News and National World carried the tour announcement to a wide online readership, while Virgin Radio featured Dr Louise in a dedicated podcast recording. In total, the tour generated at least 11 confirmed national press placements. To extend reach beyond editorial coverage, the tour was also promoted through reader competitions with Women’s Fitness and Top Santé, offering audiences the chance to win tickets and hormone health bundles tied to the tour.
Post tour, Dr Louise’s expertise reached audiences beyond the tour press cycle, with a bylined piece in The Telegraph on the daily health habits she follows in her 50s, an expert citation in Goop’s feature on perimenopause and histamine, and a Daily Mail piece covering her contested claims around the Pill and cancer risk, and an expert comment in Vogue Magazine about endometriosis. Podcast and speaking opportunities have also been part of the strategy including a guest appearance on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, and Lessons from Our Mothers.
Jenna Farmer PR has been working with Dr Louise’s Newson since November 2025 and has achieved over 100 pieces of coverage, continuing to generate high public profile with strong, wide-reaching coverage. Ongoing, proactive media management remains part of the strategy.
